History

Founded in 1993, Access IT (Formerly Advantage Business Systems from 1986-1993), based in Melville (Long Island), New York, is a recognized leader in providing Enterprise Business Software Solutions for mid-range companies in the distribution, manufacturing and service industries.

This privately held start up company (co-founded by Allyn Vineberg, CPA), was, initially, a "Total-Solution" systems integrator that offered network operating systems, multiple accounting solutions, and custom developed business applications. By 1991, Advantage Business Systems was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of America’s 500 fastest growing, privately held firms.

In early 1993, Advantage Business Systems split into two independent companies. Allyn Vineberg launched the newly formed Access Information Technologies, Inc. (Access IT).

Access IT focused on delivering enterprise-wide Financial and Business Management software solutions for small to mid-sized manufacturers, distributors and service companies.

From 1995 to 1999, Access IT offered Macola Software-based solutions. Access IT grew its client roster to over 150 companies and won accolades as one of the Nation’s leading Macola providers.

In 1999, Access IT added the Navision Software Solution line to its solutions portfolio. Navision (later acquired by Microsoft) enabled Access IT to meet the ever-expanding needs of its clients by providing a solution of unmatched agility and flexibility.

During the same period, Access IT began working with distributors of doors, frames, and hardware. From these engagements, Advanced Job Manager was born. This solution was designed for distributors who sell commercial construction materials to a job via a negotiated contract.

When Access IT began working with the Navision, the Macola Advanced Job Management System was brought over and formed the basis of what is now contractERP.
